Maestro Rolando Pomo

Rolando Pomo is born 1955 in Argentina. He studied at the conservatory "Manuel de Falla" in Buenos Aires, where he studied classical gitarr and to choir conductor. Parallell to his studies, he devoted himself to Latin American vocal and instrumental folk music.

He lives in Stockholm since 1980 and currently works as a music teacher in the suburb of Rinkeby. During his 30 years in Stockholm, he has given concerts extensively with works as Ariel Ramirez ' "Misa Criolla" and "Navidad Nuestra" with a variety of choirs around the Nordic and Baltic countries.

In his native country Argentina, he has as soloist recorded several discs with these works and even tango songs.
He founded and led the Rinkeby International Drive and Myriad choir, which performed choral music from different parts of the world and was active until 2002. He also founded the male quartet Abril and the acapella octet "Octaedro"  specializing in Cuban music.

Rolando Pomo is often engaged as a lecturer and chorus consultant around Sweden. In 2008 he became known throughout the country as Daddy Pomo with his children show Pomos Piano.
In autumn 2005, Rolando Pomo took over the management of the Greek chorus Orfeas and since then has been the choir maestro.
